William Moss

I graduated from the University of Bristol with a degree in Experimental Psychology in 2004. Having decided early on that I wanted to work in the City due to its challenging and rewarding environment I completed internships with an Investment Bank and Commodity Broker. However I was deterred from pursuing such a career in search of a better work/life balance and at a relatively late stage become aware of the insurance industry and underwriting.

I was attracted to underwriting because it is highly analytical, specialized, has a strong focus on client relationships and offers the opportunity to learn through gaining experience in the market. Furthermore, Aspen as a company impressed me with their ambition and position as an influential market leader.

I have now been at Aspen for nearly three years and work within the Specialty Reinsurance team. I was given responsibility for our Crop account in March 2007. Additionally I work with other parts of the Specialty Account being mainly Marine, Aviation and Space.
