Adrienne Smith

I graduated from Lafayette College in 2005 with a degree in Economics and Business along with a minor in French. Although my studies were not insurance related, from growing up in Bermuda, where reinsurance has such a presence, it became evident that a career in it would provide many opportunities.  After 2 years at Aspen I have been provided with many educational opportunities both in-house and at external conferences. 
When first joining Aspen's graduate program we were introduced to the workings of every department of Aspen, as well as the industry as a whole. During the time spent at Aspen to date I have been given the opportunity to work hands-on with the underwriters learning how to operate models, price a variety of contracts as well as participate in meetings with clients and brokers.  I have also been given the opportunity to travel to other offices and spend time with other Property teams learning about their models and business.

My time at Aspen has given me the chance to work with a group of talented, motivated, and outgoing people.  With the support and encouragement of everyone, it has made Aspen an ideal environment to learn and to progress.
